Preston earns his Ehrenklasse and Ehrenchampionatsklasse Titles

On March 1 and 2, 2008 Preston and Kathi attended the 2008 Rocky Mountain Winter Sieger in Loveland Colorado.

Preston needed one more Certificate Card to earn his Ehrenklasse (honor class) championship. He did that at Show 1 and then moved into the Ehrenchampionatsklasse for Show 2-3-4.

Being in the Ehrenchampionatsklasse class, Preston was now elgible for the Best in Show Gold Cup competition. The Gold Cup competition is how IABCA rewards exhibitors (and dogs) that continue to enter their shows. The competition is prior to Show 3's Best in Show and it is judged by two or three judges. Beautiful Bronze, Silver and Gold rosettes are rewarded and points (5 for first, 3 for second, and 1 for third) are awarded. These points are accumulated throughout the year. At the end of each year the dog with the most points is named the Gold Cup Champion.

Mr. P was Best of Breed in all four shows receiving a ranking of V-1 (highest ranking you can get). He was awarded 2 GROUP ONE's. . . 1 GROUP TWO. . .he won the GOLD CUP BEST IN SHOW COMPETITION. . . Preston took BEST IN SHOW for show 4. I couldn't be more proud of our boy! He goes down in history as being the first Standard Schnauzer to win a Gold Cup Best in Show !!!
