 June 14, 2009 - Tory did a herding instinct certification (HIC) on Sunday. We were late in the day and a lot of the other dogs were flunking (like refusing to go near the sheep and running to the gate to get 'rescued' by their owners), so it was going pretty slowly. The instructor jokingly asked Tory if she knew she was a terrier as she took her in, to which I said "she's a working dog." And she was. She was wonderful. Very fast and very interested! Took verbal correction for getting a little too close for the sheep's comfort in stride and just backed off without shutting down (several other dogs had refused to continue working). Surprised everyone, for sure!  June 22, 2009 - Tory sporting her Elmo panties during her first season.
