August 27, 2009 - Preston and Madison have bred on day 6 of her cycle.

Fertilization + 21 to 28 days - the brain and spinal cord are developing, the embryo begins to bend its head forward and curl up in the classic foetal position. All the organs of the body, the limbs, head, eyes and face are being formed.

At approximately 28 days the embryo is oval in shape and is about one inch in diameter.

Fertilization + 29 to 30 days - male and female sexual characteristics show and the eyelids close.

An ultra sound on October 19, 2009 confirms that Madison is in whelp. The nursery is ready. We listen for heart beats to track the "little babies".

November 2, 2009 - This morning we went to the vet for an x-ray to confirm everyone is lined up and ready for the trip into the world.

The litter theme is "fall". Each registered name will have the word fall or falling or fallen in it. Ideas include. . .
