February 8, 2010 - 13 weeks old - Shadow was the hit of the Super Bowl party – it was a good opportunity to get her socialized to other people in the house. She actually slept through most of it. She’s doing great with the house training. When Shadow goes out for a walk, she goes by each driveway and stops and waits for someone to come out and play with her. She does have a new best friend – Ruby, a 15 month old golden retriever. They play really well together. Ruby lets Shadow pull on her ears and her tail.

February 14, 2010 - 14 weeks old (16 lbs.) - We had a good week; Shadow is doing great with the house training – no accidents. We’ve had snow off and on all week, so she’s enjoyed playing in the snow – discovered digging today – dug a huge hole in the snow. We took Shadow on a walk off leash on a trail. The snow was deep enough to keep her corralled between us. She also discovered that she can get up on the sofa – and look out the window for other dogs. She also loves to pull on any twigs/sticks that appear through the snow – she’s done a good job trimming back our lilac bush. We’ve been doing a bit of crate time every day – just one or two hours with mixed results. We are so much enjoying her, as is the rest of the neighborhood!
