January 30, 2011 - It’s been one year today since we picked up Shadow. We have been having so much fun with her and she’s added so much joy to our lives. She was so sweet this morning – she usually likes to sleep in her crate – then when she wakes up she’ll jump up on the bed and harass us and then snooze a bit more. This morning was no different – but she seems to be getting more affectionate as she’s growing up – she laid down on top of me – with her head draped across my chest. We had a wonderful day with her yesterday – x country skiing up a closed forest service road. She had a blast running and sniffing – on the way down, she ran along side me – trying to undo my gaiters by pulling at the strap near my knee – all in full motion. (We try to discourage that, as it could cause some tumbles in the future – but, I laughed the whole way.) She seems to have boundless energy! She is such a wonderful dog and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our family. 
August, 2011 - Shadow on a recent hike. . . She loves being outdoors! She’s such a bright eyed girl! 
November 5, 2011 - Happy 2nd Birthday Shadow!!!! Can't believe you are two years old already.
