In August 2000 YD traveled to Alberta, Canada so she could participate in the Standard Schnauzer Club of Canada Western Regional Specialty and the Standard Schnauzer Club of Canada National Specialty. In four days of shows, YD accumulated 5 points toward her needed 10 points to be a champion in Canada:
After some dinosaur sight seeing east of Calgary, YD traveled north to Edmonton to show off
the following weekend at the Westerly Dog Club. She showed how she could "strut her stuff", but there
were no points to be had. YD was awarded Best of Opposite in her 3 days of showing in Edmonton. YD returned to Canada again in October 2000 only this time she went to Vancouver British Columbia (Abbotsford to be exact) and finished her Canadian Championship. There were a total of four days of shows, however, on the third day and with her win, YD became a Canadian Champion!!! On the Fourth day of shows, this little winner went "win win win" all the way home.
Here are some pictures Kathi and the "dynamic duo" took
