Zimmer won two "best puppy in match" awards and
hit the AKC conformation ring in September 1998 going Reserve Winners Dog at the Northern California
Standard Schnauzer Regional Specialty from the 9-12 month class. He then picked up a 3 point major
by going Best of Breed over 3 specials including his Dad!
In September 1999, he took Winners Dog (a 4 point major) at the Standard Schnauzer Club of Northern
California Regional Specialty. In January 2000, he completed his championship with two additional
3 point majors.
Zimmer has worked in herding and earned his American Herding Breed Association - Herding Capability Tested "HCT" title in November 1999.
Zimmer excels in agility. He is an extremely FAST dog and is always in the placement ribbons. He has earned titles in AKC, NADAC and ASCA.
Zim was ranked by Front & Finish for 2001 - Standard Schnauzers - as:
- #8 Novice Standard Dog
- #9 Open Standard Dog
- #2 Novice Jumpers Dog!

Zimmer also loves obedience. . . he earned his CD with placements (third, fourth and first). Some of his other outstanding honors include:
High Working Dog; High First Novice Leg; High from Nevada; another High Working Dog; and at the 2000 Standard
Schnauzer Club of Northern California Regional Specialty, Zimmer was top scoring Novice B dog. He was ranked #2 Novice Dog in SSCA's Top Obedience Standard Schnauzer competition for 2000 with an average score of 193.3!!!
On September 20, 2001 at the Standard Schnauzer Club of America's National Specialty held at Purina Farms in Gray Summit,
Missouri, Zimmer earned his first CDX leg. . . but there is more to this story!!! He was first place in the Open A competition
and was HIGH IN TRIAL (HIT) - making him the Highest Scoring Dog in Regular Classes with a score of 192 1/2!! What an achievement!!! At the next obedience trial also at Purina Farms, Zimmer earned his second CDX leg and was first place in
Open A competition and was High Scoring Standard Schnauzer in Regular Classes. A few weeks later, back home in Nevada, Zimmer finished his CDX. . .in three straight shows.
At the 2001 SSCA National Specialty in St. Louis, Missouri (Purina Farms),
Team Obedience was a family affair. Zimmer, his dad Aaron, and his sister Cassidy, and a friend named Charlie competed in the event.
Zimmer has earned his ASCA novice obedience title "CD" with three High in Trials!
Front & Finish rated Zimmer as honorable mention in their First & Foremost obedience ratings for 2001!
At the Truckee Meadows DTC Obedience Trial on Saturday July 27, 2002, Zimmer picked up his first Utility leg with a score of 187 1/2 and third place. In Open B he was fourth place with a score of 188 1/2. He was
HIGH COMBINED for the day! Then on Sunday, July 28, 2002 he picked up his second Utility leg with a score of 181 and second place. In Open B he scored 195 and was awarded HIGH SCORING WORKING DOG! On Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Gold County Kennel Club show in Grass Valley, California, Zimmer finished his UD title under judge Michael J. Bavilacqua with a score of 185 1/2 and second place! On Sunday he picked up his "insurance" leg with a first placement and a score of 186.
Front & Finish ranked Zimmer as the #1 Standard Schnauzer in Open A for 2002!
Truckee Meadows Dog Training Club named Zimmer #1 Obedience Dog for 2002!
SSCA ranked Zimmer as the #2 Obedience Dog Of The Year with an average score of 194.4 for 2002.

Zimmer also has his AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate "CGC".
He was awarded the Versatility Excellent (VX) Award by the Standard Schnauzer Club of America in 2003 !
At the Standard Schnauzer Club of Northern California's Regional Specialty held in Pleasanton California October 16, 2004, Zimmer was High In Trial (HIT)!
On January 9, 2005 Zimmer earned his RN (Rally Novice) title with scores of 100 - 99 - 99. This is AKC's newest titling event as of 01/01/05. On April 9, 2005 Zimmer earned his RA (Rally Advanced) title in three straight shows. On May 15, 2005 Zimmer earned his RE (Rally Excellent) title with first and second placements and in three straight shows! Then, on October 8, 2005 Zimmer earned his RAE (Rally Advanced Excellent) title. The requirements are to have the RE title and then qualify 10 times in both advanced rally and excellent rally at the same show (10 double Q's). Zimmer (and sister Halley) are the first of the breed to obtain this title in the United States! Along the way, Zimmer and Ladonna were fortunate to have received many placements, and a few perfect scores.
The 2004 obedience ratings are out for Front & Finish. . . Zimmer was rated in the Delaney System and again has a placement in the First & Foremost System!
Zimmer has been INVITED to the AKC Eukanuba Invitational Shows to be held in Florida in 2006.
Zimmer and Ladonna have worked very hard to obtain his UDX title. To earn this prestigious title, you must receive 10 qualifying scores in both Utility B and Open B on the same day. On April 15, 2006 at the Sacramento Kennel Club Shows (Sacramento, California) Zimmer earned his 10th and final leg to add UDX to his titles! The following day, Zimmer earned an insurance leg - 11th UDX leg. Along the way to his title he brags of being HIGH COMBINED !
December 2, 2006 Zimmer was invited to and attended the
2006 AKC National Obedience Invitational held in Long Beach, California. He was the only Standard Schnauzer there and made us all proud with a great performance!
Zimmer earned his ASCA CDX with three first placements on September 24, 2006 ! He was also Obedience Dog of the Year for 2006 for ASCA Club.
Zimmer is recognized as #1 First and Foremost SS in Front and Finish for 2006.
Zimmer has a placement for 2006 from Front and Finish for his obedience efforts.
May 10, 2008 Zimmer earned his ASCA UD title.
In his spare time he is trying to show his "sister" -
Halley how to follow in his paw prints. Zimmer now has "brother" Gimli to teach some tricks to.
