Geistvoll Yesterday's Dream goes by the name of YD Snowshoes.
She came to us in March 1997 and has been terrorizing the house ever since.
She loves the snow so hence the addition of "snowshoes" onto her name.
Her show career began in the Spring of 1998. In October 1998 YD
became an American Kennel Club (AKC) champion! She walked all over the competition with her
snowshoes. At the Standard Schnauzer National Specialty - July 1999 in Ventura CA, YD made the
first cut in the Best of Breed competition. YD was out as a special in 2000 and has some very prestigious Best of Breed and
Best of Opposite wins to boost about! She was ranked #8 in the SSCA Standard Schnauzer of the Year competition (#4 bitch) for 2000!!
At the Standard Schnauzer National Specialty -
September 2001 in St. Louis MO, YD again made the first cut in the Best of Breed competition.
In August 2000 YD traveled to Canada for shows and took Reserve Winners Bitch at the Canadian National Specialty.
In October 2000 she went back to Canada to complete her Canadian championship. While at the prestigious Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of BC
shows YD was Best of Breed at the Peace Arch Working & Herding Association Specialty!
Check out YD's Canadian wins .
YD has two agility titles. On August 5, 2001, she earned her Novice Agility title (NA)
with first placements on all three legs! The first leg was earned just 8 weeks after the "beaners" were born.
On October 27, 2001, YD earned her Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) title with 2 first placements and 1 second
placement!! YD has also earned one leg toward her OA (Open Agility) title with a third placement and one leg
toward her OAJ (Open Agility Jumpers) title with a second placement.
These pictures were taken December 1 and 2, 2001 at the AKC Agility Trial in
Pueblo Colorado of YD.
Here are a few pictures taken in 2002 of YD doing agility
YD's first litter (with Aaron) landed on the ground Tuesday, May 8, 2001.
Halley and Gemma went to their new homes in July of 2001.
YD's second litter (with Aaron) was born on Friday, August 16, 2002.
Madison and Nova
have made their way into our hearts bringing us laughter and joy.
Madison earned her AKC Championship title on April 16, 2005 to become YD's first "home grown" champion. Madison earned her INT Championship title on March 19, 2006!
YD traveled to Ventura California for the SSCA 2005 National Specialty.
On July 10, 2005 she was awarded Best in Veteran Sweepstakes at the young
age of 8 ½. The judge, Mr. Gerard Bruintjes of the Netherlands, commented on YD's beautiful head,
floating movement, and harsh coat.
YD's third and final litter (with Bennie) was born on Monday, November 14, 2005.
The litter theme was moment(s). All of the puppies are doing well in their new homes.
- Liebe remained with us in Westminster

- Aspen remained with us in Westminster

Only Max did not achieve a champion status. The four (4) champions made her an SSCA Leading Producer.
Agility Run of Glory
June 11, 2011 - Front Range Agility Association of Denver - Denver, Colorado.
At the trial on Saturday, FRAAD offered a special attraction called "Retired Agility Run of Glory".
The event was to honor our beloved retired agility dogs. Each dog ran a "victory" course, which was a
simplified JWW course, while a pre-written biography was read. At the end, each dog received a BEAUTIFUL
personalized rosette.
YD loved the attention and getting to run one last time with me. It is a moment that I will cherish forever!
The following is the biography that was read while we took our victory lap.
CH Geistvoll Yesterday's Dream, NA, NAJ
At 14 1/2, YD still rules the Himmlisch house. She is an American and Canadian champion, a specialty winner, and a
leading producer (with 5 breed champions and 1 agility champion). YD was one of the first dogs I "dabbled" with in
agility. We trained with Marilu Baskin back in 1999. Even though YD never made it any further than her Novice titles,
she enjoyed agility and especially the tunnels. YD has passed on her love for the sport to her offspring who boast
of Master titles and an Agility Champion title. Even today, I have to let YD have a few minutes at the end of a
training session with the other Standard Schnauzers in the house. At 14 1/2 she is still such a joy and always
wants to please.

Here is another video of the victory lap shot by Don Hansen - Kennel Boy Video Productions.
This video is of all the participants filmed by Kim. She didn't know how long it would be on you tube because of some song choice issues.
